Virtual Computing Lab

The Virtual Computing Lab (VCL) provides remote access to University licensed software. It is available 24 hours a day, from any computer with an internet connection. Remote Desktop Client software is required, and is available for free.


Free Software

Click here for a list of software packages available for free to UMass Dartmouth Students.
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 365 Education for Students is available for free to students who are enrolled at UMASS Dartmouth.
  1. Visit https://products.office.com/en-us/student
  2. Click the green 'Find out if you're eligible' link and enter your UMASSD e-mail address.

Mathematica is available to UMass Dartmouth students for personal installations.
  1. Visit https://user.wolfram.com/portal/login.html and create a Wolfram ID using your umassd e-mail address.
  2. You will receive an e-mail from wolfram.com. Follow instructions to validate your account.
  3. Visit this link for the Wolfram Activation Key Request Form:

  5. Fill out all required fields to download Mathematica product.

To access Atomic Learning:
1. Visit the Atomic Learning website.
