Academic Resources

Academic Calendar

The Academic Calendar includes start and end dates of each semester in the academic year, as well as the schedule for final exams.

Academic Advising

You will work with your advisor every semester to track progress and plan future course registration. The name of your academic advisor will be listed in COIN. If a name does not appear when you log into COIN, contact University Extension at 508-999-9202.

UMass Dartmouth students have access to FREE online eTutoring. It doesn't matter if you have only one question or if you need long term assistance in one or more areas; eTutoring exists to help students be successful at UMass Dartmouth. Visit the eTutoring website for more information.

Center for Access and Success

Speak with the Center for Access and Success if you need accommodations in your class due to a disability. Online learning may create the need for accommodations that are different from those needed in traditional, face-to-face courses. All accommodations are determined on a case-by-case basis based on the information provided to our office and the accommodations recommended by the professional evaluator.
Possible reasonable accommodations for online course may be:
  • Extended time
  • Comprehending written instructions
  • Alternative methods of communicating
  • Viewing and/or hearing online video
  • Hearing online audio recordings
  • Other issues unique to the disability

Research and Writing

The Claire T. Carney Library has an array of materials available. You can search for articles, scholarly journals, books, media and more. Additionally, many majors have a dedicated librarian.
